Observer in Distress

(photo by a teary-eyed Lee Bey)

Regular visitors to this site will notice a huge slowdown in production here as of late. That's because the Official Urban Observer Automobile (a 2003 Jetta GLI) is on its way to the junkyard. A driver ran a redlight and plowed into me, resulting in the damage you see above. Luckily, no injuries. But my insurance company declared it a total loss. So between that and the new job, i've had to do a little adjusting. But I hope to get things back up and running more regularly soon....although I was tempted to run out the string by posting pictures of the models and other people I've photographed over the past year. Like this woman. And this one. And this one. And this one. And this one. Not to mention this guy. But no good would come of all that. None at all.

Good heavens!!! Thank goodness you're okay, but oh, the car! I would have no quibble with re-running people shots - so long as you balance out the genders. The women quite clearly outnumber the men [or should I say man?}. ;)

I see you have more than just an eye for urban architecture.

You are right......no good would come of it.

Lee! Good grief, the car looks messed up! [And being the former owner of multiple Jettas, I can feel your pain, maaan.] Fortunately, you are Ok to type about it.

(in unrelated matters..) Hey, how does this new CCAC position relate to the Olympic plans (if any?) You know I think the Olympics are a not-so-subtle land grab for property on the southside..

amy: I gotta get more dudes, I know. Maybe its just me, but i have a hard time getting men to pose for me. With the exception of architects!
irish: thank you. I thought about starting a website and posting pix of women, but Mrs Urban Observer would take a very dim view.
Ms. Shanty! How are you! Yes I am quite happy that I wasn't personally banged up. Regarding the CCAC: We have to get together a formal position on the Olympics. I think there are a LOT of questions unanswered (speaking as Lee Bey, not the executive director of the CCAC) about the Olympics...
